Things we love about Winter 2024-2025
A winter full of sensory delights and experiences
Winter in the northern hemisphere is a bit of a double-edged sword, isn’t it?
On one side, the shorter days and chilly temperatures can make time feel like it’s dragging on at a snail’s pace. But on the flip side, it’s the perfect excuse to embrace a slower rhythm, reconnect with loved ones and indulge in cosy experiences. Think atmospheric spaces, the warmth of good company and the comforting joy of shared moments – perhaps with a glass (or two) of mulled wine in hand.
Below, we’ve rounded up some of our winter favourites to inspire your season.

01. Grand Deli in Lund, Sweden
This is the perfect place to pick up something special for your winter gatherings. Located just around the corner from the Grand Hotel in the southern Swedish city of Lund, Grand Deli is full of carefully chosen foods and curated delicacies that are made to be shared. From delicious cheeses and cured meats to fresh bread and unique sauces, it has all you need to create a meal to gather around, be it a big dinner or a cosy evening for two.
02. ‘Friandise’ scented candle by Diptyque
We love how a Diptyque candle can completely transform a space and their limited-edition ‘Friandise’ candle feels like winter in a jar. With cosy scents of gingerbread, cinnamon, orange peel and vanilla, it fills the room with that perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The golden lid and felt label give it a festive touch, but what we really adore is how it creates a warm, inviting atmosphere.
03. ‘The Tired Man’ lounge chair by Flemming Lassen för Audo
Winter is all about slowing down and finding comfort and for us, ‘The Tired Man’ lounge chair is the perfect companion for those cosy moments. Originally designed in 1935 by Flemming Lassen, it is a chair that is like a warm hug on a cold day. With its curved shape and plush upholstery (we particularly love the sheepskin option), it’s made for curling up with a good book or a cup of tea. Add the footstool and you might never want to leave.
04. ‘Cicine’ midi dress by By Malene Birger
By Malene Birger’s Santa-red midi dress is the perfect mix of elegance and ease, with its flowy silhouette and soft, airy fabric that feels amazing against the skin. We love how it moves. it’s the kind of dress that makes you feel effortlessly put together, whether you’re hosting Christmas dinner or sipping mulled wine by the fire. A festive look that’s as comfortable as it is chic.
05. ‘Vita Balanza’ candle holder by Marre Moerel for Santa & Cole
This candleholder, by Spanish brand Santa & Cole, is an ingenious work of art that makes us stop and smile. It’s not necessarily wintery, but there’s something about its playful balance and gentle movement that feels so calming during the darker months. We love how it reflects Santa & Cole’s knack for blending design with a touch of whimsy. Watching the double flame sway feels almost meditative, a reminder to find balance and appreciate the beauty in the simplest moments.
06. Casa Bonay in Barcelona, Spain
On our mind this winter are hospitality concepts that embrace their surroundings to create entire neighbourhoods open to all. Take Casa Bonay in Barcelona. It’s technically a hotel, but it feels more like stepping into a local community. You can pop in for a coffee in the morning and end up staying all day. The bar, café, co-working space and restaurant are buzzing and inviting, bringing together locals and visitors alike. The rooms have loads of personality, but what really makes it special is how it fits so naturally into the city – lively, welcoming and easy to enjoy for all.
