Things we love about Summer 2024

Copenhagen-inspired summer favourites

The past couple of months have been a delight as we’ve spent significant time in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, working on our hospitality case study, Casa Escandi.

Exploring a new city leads to many discoveries. Before long, you find your favourite restaurants, bars, cafés or even something as simple as a park bench!

Below is a curated list of some of our summer favourites, all inspired by our adventures in Copenhagen.

01. Torvehallerne market hall

Torvehallerne market hall is known for its diverse range of fresh produce, gourmet foods and artisanal products. We love the extensive range of offerings such as fresh seafood and organic vegetables to gourmet chocolates and specialty coffee. The atmosphere is lively and a popular destination for both locals and tourists.

02. ‘Beosound A5’ by GamFratesi for Bang & Olufsen

This portable speaker is the ideal companion for a Copenhagen-picnic, whether you’re relaxing in a park or along the city’s many waterways. The sound is powerful, and the bass is perfect for a party! With a battery that lasts all day, you won’t have to worry about the fun ending prematurely.

03. ‘Spanish Chair’ by Børge Mortensen for Fredericia

This timeless design by Børge Mogensen is a masterful contribution to modern design, conceived already back in 1958. The solid oak or walnut combined frame is combined with high grade supple saddle leather. We feel that this chair and its strong presence is a fantastic addition to any space. Not to mention how it ages gracefully and becomes even more beautiful with age.

04. ‘Gipsy’ earrings by Ole Lynggaard

On a walk through town, the Gypsy earrings by Ole Lynggaard caught our eye. Its intricate and luxurious design is as detailed as it is luxurious. We greatly admire their elegance and the artistry. One is always allowed to dream, but these beautiful pieces will most likely remain a just that – a dream.

05. White linen suit by Max Mara

Max Mara tends to be our go-to when shopping for versatile and comfortable, high-quality clothes that work at the office or at a party. This double breasted suit is available with or without sleeves and we definitely grade it as one of our summer favorites to wear.

06. Affordable art by Santa & Cole

One of our business partners, Barcelona based Santa & Cole, curate and supply beautiful art pieces from a wide range of artists around the world. Styles and colour palettes are as diverse as the art itself, which is something we appreciate when designing spaces.
